Why would my unit fail to dispense my dilutant after placing my sample and pulling the arm forward?
After pulling the dispensing arm forward, if you hear the pump motor activate but no dilutant is dispensed it can be the result of the tubing being misaligned, or worn out. Make sure that the tubing is oriented proprly and is fully secured in the pump mechanism. If you do not hear the motor of the pump activate then it could be an indication that the sensor of the arm position or the Main PCB are malfunctioning and your unit should be sent in for diagnostic testing and repairs.
Is there a recommended calibration frequency?
It is recommended to calibrate your unit monthly, unless stated otherwise in your internal SOP.
